New Stone Age About 10,000BC – 4,000BC
Cause Effect Earths climate began to warm up Plants and animals become plentiful Some hunter-gatherers settled in areas filled with plants and animals People learned to save seeds from the wild plants they had gathered. They planted their own seeds and grew their own plants for their use. People began capturing wild cattle, sheep, dogs, and goats to tame them. More and more people began to settle permanently in one area Plants and animals multiplied The number of people on earth grew People began trying to raise crops and animals for their use (AGRICULTURE) People cut the grain, saved the useful part, and ground it into flour. They stored grain in underground pits to keep it safe and dry. Domesticated cattle gave more milk and the sheet produced more wool Community life became more complex.
