3 Corrections Directions 1. Quiz and Number 2.Type of Skilled Tested. 3.Explain your mistake AND/OR why the correct answer is correct.

4 Sample Correction Test: The Music of the O’odham #1 Skill: Diction and Syntax Explanation: I chose ‘no change’ because I thought having both words gave more detail. The correct answer is just associated because it is more precise. Omit Needless words.

5 Sample Correction Test: Relaxing Commas #5 Skill: Appositive Commas Explanation: I did not know how to use the appositive comma correctly. The words ‘blue and red’ are modifying the wall in a appositive phrase; therefore, commas are needed before and after.

12 Rhetoric Tip Know what the question is asking –Entirety –Specific Choose the option is specific to the question.

13 Flow Test the logical progression and organization of the passage. The questions are stylistic, instead of substitution.

14 Goal Questions ACT will ask which answer best accomplishes a certain goal. All choices sound pretty good.
