13. Kymenlaakson ammattikorkeakoulu / www.kyamk.fi Multidisciplinary R&D&I Kyamk aims to generate multidisciplinary, strategy based research projects, which are tightly connected to teaching. R&D&I focuses strongly on special fields chosen by Kyamk. Measured by the total budget of all projects the value of the project portfolio is about EUR 12,5 million, of which the annual turnover is EUR 4,5 million. Kyamk’s 70 projects are implemented by 200 employees (approx. 65 person-year). Funding comes from various sources such as ministries, companies, municipalities and Tekes (Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation). In Kyamk all fields of study implement multidisciplinary R&D&I projects. Paid services and learning laboratories are also a part of R&D&I activities.
