10. 10 Ambition – Respect - Excellence 2.A group of gases called CFCs, have been used in aerosols, fridges and in making foam plastics. They are found in small amounts in the atmosphere. They are dangerous because small amounts can trap large amounts of heat.

11. 11 Ambition – Respect - Excellence Global Warming The more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the more heat is trapped. This makes the Earth warmer. This is known as GLOBAL WARMING.

13. 13 Ambition – Respect - Excellence Method: 1.Put an empty beaker in a polyethene bag. 2.Carefully fill the beaker with hot water and put a thermometer into the water. 3.Place a bag around the beaker and tie it tightly around the thermometer. 4.Take the thermometer out of the water every minute. 5.Put your results in a table. 6.Do the same again, this time fill the polyethene bag with carbon dioxide (blow into the bag). 7.Enter your results in the table provided.
