2 What is the World Wide Web?  Tim Berners-Lee worked at a lab in Switzerland. He wrote a program to use the Internet that changed how users and Net interacted.  His program allowed users to link web pages to other web pages just by clicking on a link. 3 Multimedia on the Web  Graphics are the most common multimedia used on a web page. This adds excitement to a teaching page.  The most common formats are GIF and JPEG.  GIF - “Graphic Interchange Format”  Used for color images, clip art, line art, and gray-scale images.
