3 Important things to know: Nursery Hours 8.40am – 3.15pm (Soft Start from 8.40-8.55am) Spare set of clothing in your child’s locker. (trousers, socks, pants, shirt) Long hair to be tied back and NO NAIL VARNISH Labelled water bottles – only with water Please label ALL clothing items No toys please Library books (Monday) Time to talk to your teacher (after pick up).

4 Uniform Lime Green School Sweatshirt with School Logo Royal Blue Early Years T-Shirt Navy Tracksuit trousers or navy blue shorts (Summer) Black Velcro plimsolls for indoor shoes Wellie boots Coat for winter (dark colours including navy, black or dark grey) PACT folder (book bag) Please ensure a spare set of uniform is left in your child’s locker at all times in case of any ‘accidents’.

5 Parental Involvement in the Nursery Pact Folders- The children place their pack folders – books bags in their lockers. School Trips. Tapestry – online learning journal Special books Star Moments Show and Tell: Children will take turns to take home a show and tell box. Reading afternoons – Monday from 2.45 to 3pm. - Start date to be Confirmed Stay and Play – Fridays from 8.40 to 9.10am – Start date to be confirmed

6 What will your child be doing? First 6 weeks are all about settling in- happy in their environment, making friends, gaining confidence to ask for help, separating from parent/carer with confidence. PSED focus- making friends, sharing, turn- taking, independent in toilet routine. Our curriculum is based on learning through play, practical real life activities, counting, mark making and reading for a purpose. For this reason role play is significant in assessing the children's skills. Maths focus: »Counting 1-20 »Recognise 1-10 »Recognise basic shapes

7 What will your child be doing? C&L Focus: Listen and maintain attention at circle time, follow simple instructions. Literacy focus: Letters and Sounds – Phase 1 Name writing- No capitals please. Chloe CHLOE Other areas of learning: EAD, UW, PD, RE...planning and activities develop according to the children's’ development and needs. Focus activity weeks – focus children
