14 WHAT IS CONTINUOUS AND COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION (CCE)? CONTINUOUS AND COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION refers to a system of school based assessment that covers ALL ASPECTS OF STUDENT’S DEVELOPMENT.

15 It emphasizes on a two fold objective: Continuity in evaluation and assessment of broad based learning Behavioral outcome WHAT IS CONTINUOUS AND COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION (CCE)?

16 It helps in the improvement of students’ achievement through continuous diagnosis, remediation, encouragement and appreciation. It requires coordination and concerted efforts on the part of the Principal, teachers and parents for the multifaceted personality development of the child. 19 FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT (FA) Assessment which is carried throughout the year by the teacher formally and informally. It is diagnostic and remedial. FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT (FA) will comprise of: Class work / Home work (CLASS RESPONSES) CLASS TESTS ( WRITTEN AS WELL AS ORALS) SURPRISE TESTS MINUTE PAPER ( SHORT DESCRIPTIONS) Quiz Projects / Assignments

20 Assessment System There is no formal examination for class I & II. The teacher will evaluate the students through Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). There will be 8 CYCLES of CCE or Formative Assessments (FA’s). One cycle of CCE means that all students of the class are tested in all the competencies.
