2.  The articles of confederation is the original constitution of the United States, ratified in 1781, which was replaced by the United States constitution 1789.

3.  Articles of Confederation created a weak national governmental powers retained by the states. The Articles provided no separation of branches. There was no president or any other independent executive, nor was there a federal judicial branch. Congress, the legislature, was the only branch.

5.  The Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation. It created a federal system of government. It’s the highest law in the United States.

6.  An amendment is a law that’s attached to the Constitution. The Constitution cant be changed, but laws can be added.

12.  6 th Amendment says: “Bill of Rights that guarantees a citizen a speedy trial, a fair jury, an attorney if the accused person wants one, and the chance to confront the witnesses who is accusing the defendant of a crime.”

13.  7 th Amendment says: “In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re- examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.”

14.  8 th Amendment says: “Prohibiting the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishment.”

15.  9 th Amendment says: “The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

16. 10 th Amendment says: “It expresses the principle of federalism, which strictly supports the entire plan of the original Constitution for the United States of America, by stating that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated to it by the United States Constitution. All remaining powers are reserved for the states or the people.”
