The Last 9 Weeks Policies and Procedures

Dress Code Shirts must be tucked in at all times. All sweaters must be unzipped. No pullover sweaters... Ever!!! No hoodies... Ever!!! – If a hoodie is confiscated the first time, it will be given back at the end of the day. – If a hoodie is confiscated a second time, it will be kept until a parent picks it up from school. – Hoodies with the hoods tucked into the collar are not allowed.

Dress Code No headphones. Do not wear headphones as a scarf. Keep them in your locker. Free Dress Day – No torn jeans, no see through shirts, no sleeveless shirts, no high-heels, no open toe shoes, and no jerseys. – If students violate the polices of the handbook on free dress days, then there will be no free dress days.

Tardy Policy You are considered tardy as soon as the tardy bell rings. Teachers will close and lock their doors after the tardy bell rings. If a student is outside the classroom after the tardy bell rings, he/she can be subjected to automatic Saturday Detention. It will be assigned by the Dean of Students.

Attendance Students will not be allowed to leave the classroom for the first and last 15 minutes of class. Always be in your assigned location. Always ask for written permission to be in another classroom. If you are not where you are supposed to be and/or give false information to a teacher regarding your whereabouts, Saturday Detention will be assigned.

Hallway Behavior No touching other students... Ever!!! No eating in the hallways. No yelling or talking loudly in the hallways, especially after lunch. Do not disturb other classes by looking through the window. DPS will be assigned for the above infractions and the Dean of Students may assign detention if any of the above behavior is observed.

Before and After-School Behavior No basketballs, footballs, or soccer balls in the dismissal area. – Sports equipment will be confiscated if a student is caught playing with the above items, even if it does not belong to the student. – Even the perception of a student playing with the above items can lead to confiscation. – To avoid this: store your possessions in a bag, zipped up, and away from other students.

Before and After-School Behavior Any student caught opening the back door without a teacher’s permission will be assigned Saturday Detention. No cell phones in the cafeteria before school begins. No headphones in the cafeteria before school begins. In the morning, go directly to class after the first bell rings. No students in the bathrooms near the backdoor between 7:35 – 7:55.
