3. Style of the meeting This meeting is… for discussing the continual developments of BPS in a positive, safe and structured environment. This meeting is… an opportunity to involve our stakeholders in the future of BPS. This meeting is…a time to learn more about the school. This meeting is not … an opportunity to discuss individual concerns.

4. Welcome Some celebrations: Outstanding grade in EYFS SCITT ofsted grade ‘Good’ All primary SCITT trainees are doing well and have gained employment (x3 with us) Fully staffed for September Little staff movement from the school Mrs Ellers awarded National Leader In Education Status and carrying out Ofsted Inspections across the East Midlands. Middle and senior leaders involved in school to school support across the county High quality inset has ensured the quality of teaching remains outstanding across the school Recent governor learning walks Annual Ofsted health check and external school improvement advisor confirms that BPS remain Outstanding Financially stable The children continually recognised by members of the public for their outstanding behaviour and manners both in school and on visits. Also reflected in interschool team sports events. Enhanced links with RLS and TBS Best ever 11+ results Recognised at excelling in our offer of enrichment activities Wider opportunities in school - Forest schools across the school, cooking, AGT writing groups, debating group etc Nearly all year groups full with higher numbers than ever. Successful apprenticeship on front desk Increased staff numbers Following ofsted action points we now have a more creative curriculum Increased security in the building Some areas we have developed this year following feedback from parents: In recent weeks you should have seen an lot more detailed information being added to the newsletter including FAQ’s, ‘You said, We did’ and photos of school life. Weekly celebration assembly to recognise excellent behaviour and achievements. Adaptations to playtimes. Consistent approach to class reflection time. Transition meeting for existing Year 2 parents Reminder letter of who you can speak to and SMT roles. Successful parent workshops Year 5 and 6 Residentials will be swapped around to Year 5 go to Condover and year 6 go the France, a short local residential for year 4 introduced.

Developments planned for 2016-2017 Celebration assemblies for parent to attend A weekly opportunity for a drop in to see teachers at the end of the day 1 Open Day per term to invite parents in to see the action in class Charity events focused on community links and giving our time rather than money Refurbish and Zone the playgrounds Further workshops for parents planned Nursery build going up over the summer Weekly careers assembly to raise aspirations

6. Visioning discussion At the recent inset day we looked at ‘What does excellent learning look like?’ What do we want from BPS?
