Only the lowest level Math courses (Math 155, 255, 190) are coded as non-degree applicable basic skills courses, and students taking these courses are less likely to succeed in degree-applicable Math courses than students starting at Elementary Algebra (Math 141, 145, 146, 245, 246) For 2010, Elementary Algebra is coded as basic skills Result: Basic skills improvement rate will increase, but successful basic skills course completion (measure 5) will decrease
