6 Late to Class After 9:20 Sign in First offense –warning Second offense – lunch detention and notice to parents Third offense - referral

18 Passive Behavior Not sharing your needs, opinions, ideas or beliefs allowing others to make decisions for you. Avoiding conflict or confrontation

19 Passive Behavior Have you ever said “yes” when you meant “no”? Have you ever agreed to do something you really didn’t want to do? Have you ever given in to someone’s demands because you didn’t want to make them angry or hurt their feelings?

20 What’s wrong with being passive? Feel taken advantage of Feel hurt, angry, or resentful Can lower your confidence Robs you of recognition Can lead to feeling depressed

27 The ability to speak up for yourself in a way that is honest and respectful.

28 Assertive Behavior 1.You are able to say how you feel without being rude or mean. 2.You can ask for what you want or need. 3.You can disagree respectfully. 4.You can offer your ideas and suggestions. 5.You can say no without feeling guilty. 6.You can speak up for someone else.

32 How to be less aggressive 1.Try letting others speak first. 2.Do not interrupt someone speaking. 3.Ask someone else's opinion, then listen to the answer. 4.When you disagree, try to say so without putting down the other person's point of view.
