3. Pope John Paul II: “Theology of the Body” Pope John Paul II wrote a book called “The Theology of the Body”. In it, the Pope analyses the story of the creation of Adam and Eve, to find out why God made us to have the kind of bodies we do, & what it means for us, to be the way we are made. In groups, remind yourself of that story, and come up with 3 things it could be teaching you about men and women and relationships. 1.God created men and women for love – to love and to be loved 2.God made us in His image – so we could love as he would 3.God made men and women different, but complementary - to be “for” each other, 4.God made men and women as soul mates as well as physical mates Unfortunately, just like Adam and Eve, we can get things wrong.
