Sentinel Data Access for Africa 11 December 2014 ESA support: As part of its R&D EO programme, ESA is developing 6 Thematic Exploitation Platforms: Geohazard, Forestry, Hydrology, Costal, Urban, Polar Platforms will host data from many EO satellites data (e.g. Sentinels, ERS/ENVISAT, Landsat, other Ntl missions) + in-situ datasets + software tools + virtual machines ESA can offer access to these platforms to African users (e.g. R&D, scientists, application developers, services,…) Dedicated hands-on training will be organised in May 2015 in the frame of TIGER Expert Training Besides the above 6 TEPs, ESA is considering the set-up of light user web interface to the TEPs Would need only very small network bandwidth for retrieval of final high level products, maps Sentinel data access for Africa – Scenario 2
