Everyone in the world thinks about maintaining their own existence and lifestyle. We are all consitrated in our own lives that when it comes to hearing bad news about diseases, famine, violence, social injustice, natural catastrophes, toxic health risks and the downfall of the environment around us we try to think about pleasure things to make us forget about things. But trying to forget doesn’t help the water crisis get any better. The Earth has a finite amount of fresh water stored in aquifers, surface water, and the atmosphere. Sometimes people think that oceans are available water but the energy to make saline water into potable water is not allowed today which explains why access to safe drinking water is not available for many people around the world. In some parts of the world people drink the only kid of water that is available to them which is dirty water. In order to make a difference on this water crisis we all have to work together so here are some things we can do to make a difference…….

1. Install aerator attachments on to sink faucets, which will reduce water up to 25%. In order for the aerator to grow bacteria it is suggested to sanitize it once a month. 2. Take shorter showers and provide showers with shutoff valves that let a person stop water flow while they are soaping or shampooing. 3. When bathing make sure to not overfill the tub with water. The tub should be at least ¼ fill that is just about enough. 4. Replace your old showerhead with a water effective one. They're easy to install, and can save you up to 750 gallons of water a month. 5. When shaving, brushing teeth, or washing your face don’t let the water run turnoff the sink.

6. Don’t flush the toilet unless you need to and throw tissues and other similar wastes in the trash instead of in the toilet. 7. Dishwashers and washing machines should only be operated when they are fully. Set the water level for the size of load you are using. 8. When you wash your dishes by hand and you have two sinks fill one of the sink with soap and the other with rinse water. If you have one sink put all washed dishes in a dish rack and rinse them in a pan full of hot water. 9. Cover boiling vegetables with just enough water to cover them or steam them. Steaming vegetables uses less water and conserves the nutrients of the vegetables. 10. To defrost meat or other frozen foods don’t use running water, instead use the defrost setting on your microwave or defrost food overnight in the refrigerator. 11. Check for leaks in pipes, taps, hoses, washing machine fittings. If you find any leaks it should be fixed immediately.

1. When cleaning a driveway or a sidewalk use a broom instead of spraying water on it. 2. It isn’t a good idea to water outdoor greenery in spring. It is better for the greenery to be watered less in the growing season which will make the roots grow deeper. This creates a greater natural reservoir. 3. When watering your lawn and garden use a sprinkler with a automatic shut-off nozzle that is just rite for you. lawns should be watered only once every 3 to 5 days. Evaporation occurs lower in the morning and early evening so in times of a water shortage lawns should not be watered.

4. When it rains you can collect the rainwater in large containers and then you can use the rainwater to water outdoor plants. 5. When washing your car use a bucket and sponge, then rinse the soap off with a trigger nozzle hose very quickly. 6. When filling your swimming pool with water don’t overfill it so you can prevent water loss due to splashing. Also when you aren’t using the swimming pool make sure put a cover on it to prevent evaporation. 7. Make sure to pull the weeds out of your garden because they compete with your grass, plants, and flowers for water. Weeds steal water from your plants, grass, and flowers and leave them with out nutrients. 8. Check that your sprinkler heads are spraying correctly and also check for leaks and waterspouts. Make sure that the sprinklers are in the direction of your plants. 9. Water plants when it is only necessary because plants die more from over- watering rather than under-watering.
