2 AIM I: Unity-Bringing together students, parents, staff, and community 1.Increase the number of website hits by 50%, increase the number of likes on Facebook by 100, and double the number of followers on Twitter by the end of the year to expand the presence of the district in social media. Website: last year 281,038 hits to 358,953 hits Facebook: increased from 270 likes to 879 likes Twitter: increased from 71 followers to 288 followers

3 AIM II: Excellence-Providing quality education 2.To improve by 3% the number of students meeting proficiency in reading, mathematics, science and writing as measured by the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA’s ) for students in Grades 3-11. 3.To improve our assessments by developing at least 3 common assessments per grade level/department for entry into Viewpoint by the end of the year. 1.Initial introduction to Viewpoint has occurred with the 4 th grade level team 2.Worked with building principals to plan work on this goal 3.Curriculum co-chairs have met and provided input on developing common assessments 4.Staff development committee currently working on this goal 5.Frequently asked questions document shared with staff 6.Work is planned for January and February

To improve our kindergarten program through a planning process that examines movement to all-day-every-day program. 1.Kindergarten grade level team has met several times to identify the strengths of each current program, project potential future gains, and discuss curriculum adjustments 2.Survey of in-coming kindergarten parents indicates too low of an interest level to continue the current 3 day program 3.Fiscal planning for staffing adjustment to all day every day kindergarten has been completed 4.Transportation and facility needs are available within current system 5.Initial discussion at December board meeting with board decision scheduled for regular January board meeting 6.Working to review our communication throughout the process of registration to first day of school, including brochure, website, social media, handouts, newsletters, registration night 7.Kindergarten registration scheduled for late February

5 AIM III: Individualization- Developing the full potential of the individual 5. Improve the implementation of the district wide evaluation system to accomplish 100% application by June 30, 2014. 1.The form is based on the Baldrige quality model 2.Each area has developed their form 3.We have completed at least one evaluation in all areas

Improve our teacher growth and evaluation plan by meeting state statute requirements and gain approval by the Foley United Educators. 1.Updated from 2003 version to 2013 version of Danielson 2.Increased reflection and incorporated use of google documents 3.Continued professional focus and use of professional growth plan 4.Added an annual student achievement goal and measurement 5.Gained FUE approval and board approval 6.Our initial implementation is occurring this year- one year earlier than required 7.In addition, substantially revised the mentoring program to provide closer alignment with the teacher growth, reflection, and evaluation plan 8.Next summer we will be reviewing the Growth, Reflection, and Evaluation Plan, the mentoring and peer coaching programs based on our experience this year

Further develop our gifted and talented program by implementing at least 3 recommendations from the program evaluation. 1.Worked closely with Gifted and Talented Coordinator to plan process for implementing the kindergarten enrichment, the universal screener, and the GT PLC. Timelines included starting the Kindergarten enrichment in October, completing the universal screener before winter break, and to start the PLC in October. 2.Kindergarten enrichment 1.Met with Principals and Coordinator, Principal introduced Pieces of Learning to the kindergarten grade level team 2.Coordinator and DTTI staff met with grade level team to plan implementation. 3.DTTI staff teaches the lesson and the regular classroom teacher completes the observation of the students 4.Goal of October implementation was met

8 3.Universal screener 1.1 st grade students screened 2.Completed in early December 3.Results will be analyzed in January 4. PLC 1.Coordinator has led the PLC and the book by Dr. Rogers has been used as the reference. 2.Seven teachers participating that have met 3 times
