1 Ecosystem Management LO: Discuss the management of environmental resources and the effects of human activities. To include how ecosystems can be managed to balance the conflict between conservation/preservation and human needs e.g. the Masai Mara region in Kenya and the Terai region of Nepal, peat bogs AND the effects of human activities on the animal and plant populations and how these are controlled in environmentally sensitive ecosystems e.g. the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, Snowdonia National Park, the Lake District.

2 Group presentation and hand out to include the following (6 slides max) 1.Description of the ecosystem 2.Cause of the decline of the ecosystem 3.Conservation methods 4.How they manage the conflict between human needs and the environment 5.Model answers to the summary questions in the book (printed on word if easier)
