1. IGNACIO ZARAGOZA ELEMENTARY CAMPUS ACTION PLAN 2014-2015 PRINCIPAL- CARLOTTA HOOKS INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP TEAM- COLLEEN LOWRY AND CESAR REYES “EXEMPLARY IN SIGHT”

2. ACTION GOAL 1: IMPROVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT Increase Reading STAAR to 85% passing. By December 5, 2014, ISIP data will reflect 50% TIER 1by all teachers and by May 29, 2015 reflect 75% TIER 1 by all teachers. On Fall ACPs, 70% of teachers will out perform the district on percent passing. On Spring ACPs 85% of teachers will out perform the district on percent passing. Increase Writing STAAR to 90% passing.

3. ACTION GOAL 2 : INCREASE HIGH QUALITY INSTRUCTION TO ENSURE 30% LEVEL III ACHIEVEMENT. 70% of teachers will have a 2 on PI by 11/3/2014 and 90% of teachers will have a 2 on PI by 5/29/15. Proficient Lesson Objectives and Demonstrations of Learning that are aligned to state assessments in 80% of the classrooms by 11/3/14 and 90% of the classrooms by 5/29/15. 90% of teachers will do at least one written exit ticket per week to reinforce learning. 80% of the teachers will feel that instructional feedback helps improve the quality of their instruction as measured by survey monkey by 12/4/14 and 90% by 5/29/15.

4. ACTION GOAL 3 : IMPROVE OVERALL CULTURE AND CLIMATE ACCORDING TO THE CLIMATE SURVEY. Increase survey participation from 82% to 90% to have a truer reflection of the results by ensuring open computer labs and time is made to take the survey. Positive Culture and Feedback will reflect 4 point increase from Spring 2014 in positive changes for the Fall survey and an additional 4 points by the Spring survey. All results in the 60s range will increase by 20+ points total through 90% staff participation from survey monkey 10 points in Fall and 10 points in Spring. Increase all areas of the climate survey to 80% by providing feedback, adjusting leadership as needed, and ensuring clear lines of communication.

5. ACTION GOAL 4: INCREASE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT. Increase Parental Portal registration to 60% by 11/28/14 and by 70% by 5/29/15. Increase parent conference night participation to 40% by Fall and to 60% by Spring. Average 20 hours a month of volunteer hours by 11/28/14 and 30 hours by 5/29/15. Increase parent awareness about bullying by 100% by having seminars, pamphlets, and providing a guest speaker during parent conference night. Have 85% positive results based on parent response according to Spring parent survey. Provide a school survey in Fall to measure positive scores, Fall expectation 65% and Spring 85% positive.

6. ACTION GOAL 5: 100% STAAR PASSING FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS THROUGH SUCCESS INITIATIVE. 100% of AA students will pass all common assessments in grades 3rd-5th. 100% of AA students will attend tutoring at least 90% of the time. Decrease of referrals by 50% by 11/29/14 and 75% by 5/29/15 for AA students.
