3 2014-2015 President’s Goals Initiatives 1. Improve Service to Members Offer more webinars and networking opportunities, offer a variety of programs at different prices in various locations 2. Increase Online Presence Reach out to new groups and potential members through Meetup and compatible groups such as BWA and DMELD 3. Recruit More Volunteers RMC needs managers and committee members to fulfill its mission, offers Active Member Rewards Program (AMRP) 4. Continue Fiscal Responsibility Evaluate costs vs. value and spend money wisely 5.Get all of the logins and passwords in a single, simple location 6.Come up with a security plan if needed

4 Chapter Membership  127 members as of May 21  Located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, and Utah (USA) plus Ontario, Canada

5 Chapter Finances  For the last several years, our financial goal has been to attain a zero-based budget  Expenses for the 2014-2015 year  $2,521.00 (through May 7)  Income for the 2014-2015 year (through May 7)  $2,814.29 (includes rebate)  International rebate based on dues: $2,550  RMC has a healthy financial reserve thanks to the efforts of the late George Hoerter

7 Northern Colorado Satellite Coffee Night  Who: Anyone  When: 2nd Wednesdays, September-June  Where: Panera Bread, Front Range Village, Fort Collins  Manager: Carmen Carmack  Purpose:  Mentoring  Networking  Supplement to Denver programs

8 Chapter Meetings  Who: Anyone  When: 3rd Thursdays, September-May  Where: Location varies per event  Purpose  Professional development  Networking and support  Learn something new!

9 Chapter Programs  May 2015: Bette Frick, Oral Questioning Skills for the Technical Communicator  February 2015: State of the Chapter meeting at Earl’s restaurant downtown Denver  October 2014: Resume Critique Session, Panera Bread on Hampden, Denver  September 2014: STC RMC, BWA, DMELD Networking, LoDo Bar & Grill, Westminster

10 Webinars  January 2015: Information Architecture Webinar (lunch & learn)  November 2014: Acrolinx Webinar (lunch & learn)  Ongoing: STC Leadership series (program planning, tools, etc.), open to all members

11 Networking  March 2015 (2 locations) at Panera Bread in Denver and Westminster  April 2015 at Panera Bread on the 16 th St Mall in Denver

16 AMRP  Active Member Rewards Program (AMRP) rewards chapter members for participation  Various activities earn 1 or 2 points  Earn 15+ points for a $25 Amazon gift card  Earn 10 – 14 points for a $10 Amazon gift card  7 members earned 15+ points in 2014 for effectively a free chapter membership  Several members on track for 2015-16  Blog, attend meetings, or volunteer to win!
