3. Introduction My name is Ward. I am twelve years old. I live on a farm. I have six siblings. I have three brothers and three sisters. I have two dogs. I play football and soccer, I also like hunting, fishing, and riding my bike and skateboard. My favorite subjects in school are science and literacy. 6. Journal Entries 1.My favorite journal entry was The Cay by Theodore Taylor. This was one of the last journal entries in my readers notebook. I chose this one because it really shows how much I have improved this year as a writer.

7. Me as a Reader As a reader my favorite genres are historical fiction and realistic fiction. My favorite series of books is the I Survived series. I also like the Who was series. Most I survived books are historical fiction. All who was books are biography, some are titled who was, they are nonfiction.

8. Me as a Writer As a writer I do a lot of writing. I do lots of journal entries and other writing assignments. I have done many writing assignments and projects in the past. I have done some sort of writing assignment in every subject.

9. Teacher Read Aloud On my honor by Marion Dane Bouer-My opinion-I didn’t like on my honor, it was BORING. The Tiger Rising by Kate DaCamillo-I thought the tiger rising was good, but not my favorite. The Cay by Theodore Taylor - the cay was my second favorite book. Island of the blue dolphins by Scott O’Dell-this was my favorite book. Lawn Boy by Gary Paulsen-this was a tie for my second favorite book. Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt

11. Year in Review Overall my 6 th grade year went well. There were a few projects and activities we did that were really fun. I got mostly good grades all year. My favorite subject was literacy.
