5 InNorMadrid Background More than seven 7 years of constant collaboration between business association and TTO- UAM under different agreements PCM with UAM’s surrounding city halls in networking, business meetings, technology supply – demand connection Current status April 2010: Formal constitution December 2010: Set up and opening of the innovation office InNorMadrid’s feasibility study and strategic plan approved by the Board of Directors Already signed agreements with 3 companies to develop R&D projects in collaboration with UAM

Legal protection of research results Patent commercialization. 7 New Ways For Technology Transfer Classical interaction: CEI’s knowledge business needs Classical approach: Collaborative research, protection of results Marketing: exploitation licenses New tools to achieve greater interaction: Strategic alliances Creation of new TBEs, Agrupaciones de Interés Económico (AIE), Limited Societies Transference to the public sector, Foundations (public entitites under private law)
