Del-Mar-Va Council - 5 Year Trends ↑ 4 consecutive years of membership growth ↑ Significantly increased diversity (doubled the number of Hispanic youth) ↑ Strong financial development/stewardship ↑ Significantly higher than average Voice of the Scout scores

Del-Mar-Va Council 5 Year Trends ↓ Membership has decreased by 11% (2009 – 2014) ↓ Number of Units have decreased by 17%(2009 – 2014) ↓ Registered volunteers has decreased by 28%

We Listened and Studied ▪ Youth like: friendships, fun, sense of belonging, competition ▪ Parents like: ROI, values, leadership, friendships with other parents Challenges: Volunteering is not fun or easy Serving underserved populations Technology is a barrier to most everything Programs lack relevance Unit program quality inconsistent

Units are supported with multiple formats of clear, timely, and readily available communication and training Every unit in the Council will meet performance expectations and show evidence of meeting minimum standards Chartered Partners are highly engaged and have deep relationships with their units and the Council Strategic Initiatives Outcomes
