5 Staff and parents will engage in meaningful collaboration, shared decision-making and productive partnerships. 6 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 Every Child, Every Day, Everywhere – 70 Volunteers from the community and the district – Participating in National Night Out – Collecting initial pledges Sixpence Childcare Grant Consortium – Member of the consortium grant with other entities After School Programs – Utilize community volunteers Roosevelt Summer School Career Academies Elemntary Schools Community Participation

7 Parent, student and staff survey processes and associated data collection processes will support effective decision making. The analysis of survey results and school/community data will effectively inform District decision making. Elemntary Schools Surveys and Data Collection

8 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 Conducted AdvancED (Fall 2014) – Stakeholder results were used for our AdvancED visit in the fall Conducted Gallup Poll at BMS & SHS – This will be our baseline year. We will conduct it again next year. Elemntary Schools Surveys and Data Collection

9 Effective Communication will facilitate meaningful information sharing and two-way dialog. A participative culture will foster strong teacher and staff leadership and parent/community involvement. Elemntary Schools Effective Communication

10 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 District Level Rebranding including new Logo, Mission and Core Value Statements New District Website CMS to be released for 2016-17 School Year New website and video presentation for 3E Scottsbluff High School Brand Development including Career Academy and Pathway Marketing Materials and video Graphical display of Strategic Plan and Target Implementation Plans for all buildings 1500 + Facebook Followers and 600 + Twitter Followers District Mobile App continues to grow in downloads Elemntary Schools Effective Communication

11 A Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) will provide all students with the best opportunities to succeed academically and behaviorally in school. Evidence based, systemic practices will support a rapid response to academic and behavioral needs (including Tier 3), using data to advise sound instructional decisions. 12 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) – Teams attended training by UNL Through NDE – Committee Formed Developing Process Guides Reviewing Interventions for effectiveness ACES team has provided on-going supports 16 Proactive Classroom Strategies Video Elemntary Schools Systemic Interventions

13 Student participation and achievement and staff diversity will increasingly reflect community demographics. Successful strategies will be in place that will result in increased equitability. Elemntary Schools Diversity

14 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 Diversity in activities closely relates to enrollment – High school matches our enrollment – Middle school matches in race/ethnicity but is a little low in meal status Staff demographics continue to be an area of focus Elemntary Schools Diversity

15 The District will have a complete and effective continuum of services for students in need of behavioral interventions and/or mental health services. Students’ behavioral and mental health concerns will be addressed within a collaborative, multi-tiered intervention and support model. This will include attention to students’ bullying of others. 16 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 Partnered with Panhandle Mental Health to place a LMHP at BMS part-time Full-time LMHP who splits her time at BMS & SHS Suicide risk reports are now being sent to district office for tracking purposes Juvenile Assessment Center continues to develop The number of bullying reports have reduced from last year by 4 %. PAWS/LC/TIES – PAWS & LC seeing great success in students who have transitioned out of the program – Moving TIES to a more inclusive model Elemntary Schools Mental Health Services

17 Re-Connect will continue to serve drop-outs aged 16-21 and expelled students. On-time 4 year rates will be increased as well as 5 and 6 year completion rate for those who do not graduate with their cohort. Elemntary Schools Increased Graduation Rate

18 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 ReConnect – 36 Graduates this year – 97 Graduates overall Established meetings to discuss students who were at risk. 19 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 4 year cohort graduation rate gap between race/ethnicity is closing When reviewing the 5 and 6 year cohort rates, the gap is also closing Elemntary Schools Increased Graduation Rate

20 Early Childhood Programming will be expanded in order to ensure more students enter kindergarten and primary grades academically prepared. Enhanced, “universally designed” instructional strategies and programming will increase student access and participation at “grade level or above” general education curriculum. 21 DEVELOPMENTS IN 2015-16 Professional development with Dr. Baldwin Conducted book study with staff - Creating Environments for Learning Implementation of Learning Guides - one for 3 year olds and one for 4 year olds Moving to a Primary Service Model approach for early intervention Leveraged resources by combining parent events with EDN, Sixpence & EHS Increased Child Find RBI Training Collaborated on meeting the needs of students with disabilities (UDL & Inclusive Practices) 90% Attendance Rate for Sixpence Sixpence expanded from 36 to 42 and has a waiting list Elemntary Schools Early Childhood Programming
