2 PURPOSEFUL A school growth plan is always evolving. We are continually trying to improve our practice to build upon: A school growth plan is always evolving. 3 GOAL IDENTIFICATION Red Bluff Elementary has 4 goals. They are: literacy, numeracy, social development and aboriginal education. 5 Strategies for Social Development: Our Code of Conduct is an insert in the first 8 pages of the Student Planner and a pamphlet is available to new and existing parents at the beginning and throughout the school year.Our Code of Conduct is an insert in the first 8 pages of the Student Planner and a pamphlet is available to new and existing parents at the beginning and throughout the school year. Every teacher has class meetings at the beginning of the year to discuss our belief systems and how they translate to positive behaviors at the school. This is an ongoing strategy. We use Oracy, Focus on Bullying, It’s a Girl’s World, student leadership programs facilitated by team leaders from Educo and Social Development lessons.Every teacher has class meetings at the beginning of the year to discuss our belief systems and how they translate to positive behaviors at the school. 6 We use the Social Responsibility Performance Standards. Each intermediate student completes an electronic pre survey in October and post survey in May to determine growth.We use the Social Responsibility Performance Standards. 7 Strategies for Literacy skill development We are focusing on reading and writing as objectives.We are focusing on reading and writing as objectives. 9 Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement There are 4 goals in the agreement. 10 FUTURE DIRECTIONS Continue to believe in and foster quality in our teaching and student/parent /community relationships.
