Baccalaureate Degree Pilot Program Pilot colleges planning to begin in fall Antelope Valley, Bakersfield, Feather River, Foothill, Rio Hondo, San Diego Mesa, Santa Monica, Shasta, & Skyline Handbook outlining parameters approved by Board of Governors ACCJC Policy approved in June that conflicts with Handbook Meetings in fall to assist in addressing differences 8

At the Chancellor’s Office Auto approval of non-substantial change to courses New hour and unit calculations Peer Review Workshops In the process of changing regulations around Stand-Alone course approval and High school articulation Improving the process for Public Safety Curriculum

At the Chancellor’s Office: On the Horizon Satisfactory Progress (SP) grade for noncredit courses Revised PCAH New & improved Curriculum Inventory system Proactive interactions with colleges, i.e., trainings, webinars, and workshops

System Advisory Committee on Curriculum (SACC) Established March 2005 Membership includes Faculty, CIOs, Vice Chancellor of Educational Services, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, CCCAOE liaison, ACCE liaison Co-chaired by an ASCCC appointee (Dolores Davison, Foothill College) and a CIO (Virginia Guleff, Mendocino College) Purpose: The System Advisory Committee on Curriculum (SACC) provides a collaborative forum for system level discussions pertaining to curriculum to inform related Chancellor's Office policies and practices. SACC Activities Concluding in 2016 Revised the PCAH!!! – 6 th Edition to the BOG in July for approval Stand-alone courses - endorsed amending Title 5 section 55100 to return stand-alone approval authority to districts (To BOG in July for Final Reading) Noncredit SP progress indicator - reaffirmed fall 2014 endorsement of amendments to Title 5 section 55023. Approved by Consultation Council and going to BOG for First Reading in July.

Ongoing SACC Priorities Revision of the SACC charter – to clarify and formalize relationship of SACC with the Chancellor’s Office, Consultation, and the BOG Workgroup on credit hour regulations created – initial draft language developed “Low-unit” certificates – reviewed MIS data on non-approved certificates, developed survey for the field to gather more information. Resolution in support allowing Chancellor’s Office approval for all approved at spring 2016 plenary. Course and program approval processes and the Curriculum Inventory Collaborative programs guidelines Work on portions of the WFTF having bearing on curriculum development and processes
