COMENIUS 09

,,We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now.“

The work Comenius consisted in a cooperation of pupils from other countries. The involvement in the project Comenius was carried out on Monday, the first day at school and students who participated in this they were from the following countries:

from France from England from Germany from Italy and from the Czech Republic

Course of the first day at school began in the school dining room, where we were warmly welcomed and then we could move into the projection room where we were divided into four groups and each group had certain representation of pupils from other countries. But before that students from England presented their work about our new work within the frame of the Comenius. We had to talk about and put mind to our everyday problems and every group did it separately. Therefore, we went to other places at schools and started to converse and to ruminate over these questions.

Our work took place in this manner: - mutual conversation between the pupils - writing of the problems - our presenting of this work to other groups and teachers

Although at first sight the topic seems very easy, it was really hard to talk about it for us because we found that we have never come into contact with anyone who suffers some serious problems.

The most serious problems and issues on which we agree with the other groups: ● Teenage pregnancy ● Exam stress ● Loneliness ● Activities for young people in the local area ● Discrimination ● Relationships with parents ● Eating disorders ● Drugs and alcohol ● Cyber bullying ● Religion ● Computer addiction

Teenage pregnancy

Exam stress

Loneliness

"Alone inside herself, alone among her friends, to be alone at home. I am utterly alone and no one set off me. I can't laugh with anyone. I want to speak or to entrust with something to someone. And then that adolescence is a beautiful thing!“

The filling of the first day was also to know the town and so we went after the presentations to the town.

We were acquainted with life in this town and with its history too. Of course, our French friends accompanied us and they talked about their town. Finally they took us to their local theater, where we engaged in a conversation with an employee of that theater.

Subsequently, we continued to discover the town. All groups got together at another local school, where we were officially welcomed by the mayor of the town.

The following day we had to work up a project about the city. Everyone did it in its mother tongue. It meant that Czechs from one group to worked independently like Czechs from another group. Consequently it was independently on representatives from other countries.
