4. Roles and Responsibilities Collaborating time was limited this year with the grade 4 and 5 teachers who were scheduled to be with the class during library time. It was expected that we plan lessons together to develop information literacy skills to support the curriculum. We managed to successfully collaborate on the Gr 5 Meet The Artist unit. The literacy skills further developed were, using keywords, accessing sources, note taking and citing sources. With the Gr. 4's, the hero's quest was a collaboration on a unit where we reinforced the steps in the journey together during library class.

5. Roles and Responsibilities Collaboration with the grade 1, 2 and 3 teachers was not really possible. This was partly due to the demands of the new curriculum and because the library class time is regarded mostly as a separate curriculum and as a prep time for teachers. Limited collaboration happened through emails and meetings with teachers in hallways and lunchrooms. (i.e. Grade 3 mystery unit, Gr 2 storytelling)

6. Roles and Responsibilities Collaboration 2014-2015 Johanna has created a ES schedule that is more flexible, where teachers will be present and that allows for common meeting times for Lesa and the grade level teams. This will help facilitate collaboration with teachers for both information literacy development and tech integration for the students in all of ES.
