4 Why do you think taking pictures at demonstrations is illegal? List 1 reason and explain how it supports your answer. The Shah would look bad if there were pictures of the bad things the army did at the demonstrations, so he made it illegal to take pictures.

5 How does Marji's Grandma react to Marji's questioning? Use 1 quote from pgs. 26-27 and explain how it supports your answer. Marji's Grandma avoids Marji's questions. When Marji asks her something, she changes the subject, "Hmm, how was school?"

6 What is the significance of both her father’s and God’s presence in the 30/4? Explain why you chose this answer. Marji thinks her dad is dead and blames God. Maybe she believes God controls the world. OR Marji thinks her dad is dead so she hopes he is in Heaven with God. Marji thinks her dad was a good person and thinks that good people go to Heaven.
