There is also a red font with a yellow highlight to make the band name stand out. I like the colours used because it makes the band name stand out because of the red and yellow words. I don’t like that there is nothing else other than the name. It could include more things in the logo. 2 There are two guns in the middle pointing outwards. There are also two roses underneath the barrel of each gun. This visually shows what the band name is by using two guns and two roses. I like how they have included guns and roses to represent their band. I don’t really have anything that I dislike about this logo. 3 The logo is black and white to show how old the band is. It also has an outline in the shape of a drum. I like that they have used black and white colours to show how old they are. I really don’t like how the logo is very plain and mostly white 4 Slipknot use very sharp letters to represent their very violent nature because they are a heavy metal band. This is a heavy metal band, meaning that they have a very violent nature. This is why they have used very sharp letters in the logo. They haven’t used any colours other than black, which could be good because they are a very dark band, using dark colours. However, I believe that they could have used other dark colours other than black. 5

I don’t like the font as it is very bland and old fashioned. Challenge: This is a pop band, aiming at a young audience. The image of a frog is funky and young in style which suits the band. The colour scheme is black and green, which is very bold and easy to read, so it is easy for the audience to pick out. It also ties into the name because of the use of green, the most common colour of a frog. I don’t think the font is suitable because it looks very old fashioned and this is meant to be a young band.

This is because many rock bands use fire on their guitars. I added lightning bolts to also create a rock band atmosphere. This is because the band that I based mine on (AC DC) use lightning bolts in their band logo.

What graphics skills did you need to use to make the logo? I needed to edit the pictures by cutting parts of it out that I didn’t need. Think of a problem that you had and explain how you solved it. I encountered an obstacle where I couldn’t figure out how to make the fire only fit into the circle. To fix this problem, I tried to remember what I did in a Photoshop workshop that I went to and remembered how to fix it. What feedback did you receive from your test buddy? Was this useful? There are some mistakes but my meaning is still clear. I have used one or two ICT key words appropriately. 2-3 I can spell most words correctly and write in full sentences nearly all the time. My basic punctuation e.g. commas and question marks is generally accurate and I have used a range of ICT keywords appropriately. 4-5 I can spell accurately and use punctuation including commas, question marks, speech marks etc. accurately.
