28 The Findings  To American scholars, scholars’ circles are most important and reliable sources for scholarly information.  To American scholars, the library is not necessarily a primary place for new information; and librarians are yet to be in their circles  Citations and book reviews of academic works are primary sources for both American and Chinese scholars to discover new information

29 Possible Improvements  Better communication means (RSS, newsletters, blogs, and research aids)  More involvement in academic circles and build better connection with scholars through meetings, academic networks, translations and etc.  Engaging in Open Access publishing of scholarly writings in Chinese studies
