2 Four Characteristics of Leaders Identity: Who is in God and What time is it? One with a Great Vision (Bennis Nanus, Leaders) One of Action: Aggressive planning & Drive with determination to finish. Flexible Thinking: a paradigm.

3 Definition of Vision (ref. Heb 11:1) Vision is the power to see unseen reality. Faith is vision. Consider the vision of God who called everything ex nihilo.

4 Importance of Vision Vision accompanies power. Vision gives meaning to our lives. Vision clearly establishes our priority. Vision provides the barometer to measure our improvement and success. Vision is the will of God.

5 God-given Vision Ultimate vision: Great Commission My particular vision Determine a long-term and a short-term Goal of my life and my church: Challenging and Measurable in quality and quantity. Write down them in a paragraph.

6 How you determine God’s will for you? NRS Philippians 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Eph 1:11-12 In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will, 12 so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory.

7 2 Principles of Determining God’s Will for Your Lives What you really desire in your heart! Glorify God!

8 C&MA’s Catch-Phrase Let’s hasten the coming of the Lord in this generation by preaching the Gospel to the end of the earth! (ref. Matt 24:14)

9 3 Steps of Vision-Realization 1st Step: Visualize, enjoy, and prove! 2nd Step: Prepare and strategize! 3rd Step: Put the plan into action!

10 1st Step Visualize concretely in your mind how glorious the realized vision will be! Ignite the passion for your vision! Prove whether your vision agrees with God’s vision by prayer!

11 2’nd Step Allocate your resources to vision-realization as top-priority! Determine a long-term and a short-term goals! Find means to provide the resources! Find and uproot obstacles!

12 3’rd Step If the vision is for the church or organization, share your vision with other people (Vision- casting)! Motivate yourself or others by evaluating and rewarding periodically! Expect failure! Persevere to the end!

14 The words of faith Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:19 And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

15 Announcements Setting the goal of your life. Setting the long- and the short-term goals. Dedicate and present the blue-print of your life at the next service – how many will volunteer?
