3. Diligently Seeking God  Hebrews 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”

4. Diligently Seeking God  We Must Seek God First  There is no room for putting God second.  We Must Seek God with All Our Heart  No Half-Hearted Approach  We Must Seek to Please God  We cannot let other desires to choke God out.  God’s Promise to the Seeker  “Seek, and you will find”

6. Right Motives  Love for God  Matthew 22:36-37 – “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart”  I John 4:16-19 – “We love Him because He first loved us”  Revelation 2:1-5 – “I have this against you, that you have left your first love”

Right Motives  Glorify God  Matthew 5:14-16 – “they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven”  Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14 – “to the praise of the glory of His grace”  Philippians 1:20 - “Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death”  I Peter 2:9 – “His own special people, that you may proclaim the praise of Him” Romans 1:20-21 – “although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God”

9. Right Attitudes  Not as Eve:  Genesis 3:1-6 – “tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise”  Not as Moses:  Exodus 4:10-13 – “O my lord, please send by the hand of whomever else You may send”

10. Right Attitudes  Noah :  Genesis 6:22 – “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.”  Joseph :  Genesis 39:7-9 – “How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”  Isaiah :  Isaiah 6:8 – “Here am I! Send me.”

11. Right Attitudes  Mary :  Luke 1:30-38 – “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word”  Jesus :  Matthew 26:36-39, 42 – “not as I will, but as You will”  Saul :  Acts 9:3-6 – “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

13. Right Actions  Seeking God Thru His Word  II Timothy 4:16-17 – “thoroughly equipped for every good work”  I Corinthians 2:9-12 – “that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God”  Psalm 1:1-3 – “his delight is in the law of the Lord”

14. Right Actions  Seeking God Thru Jesus  I Peter 2:21 – “leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps”  Philippians 2:5 – “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus”  I Corinthians 11:1 – “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ”

15. Right Actions  Seeking God Thru Prayer  Luke 18:1 – “men always ought to pray and not lose heart”  James 1:5 – “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God”

16. Diligently Seeking God  Right Motives  Let Our Driving Force be that we Love God & we are seeking to Glorify Him.  Right Attitudes  Let Our Attitudes be as Saul’s “Lord, What do You want ME to do?”  Right Actions  Let us seek God thru His Word, thru Jesus, & thru Prayer.
