Works Cited Pages How to use the Internet to create the page for you Easybib.com
3
Get a citation from the database!
4
Scroll until it gives you MLA
5
Copy and paste it into a doc so you will have it to use with Easybib – (or you can try to finish the formatting yourself … not a great idea, though) Here is my citation from the database: Stolberg, Sheryl Gay. "THE REACH OF WAR: THE CONGRESS; In the Senate, A Chorus of 3 Defies the Line." New York Times 21 Nov. 2005: 1. Academic Search Premier. Web. 31 Oct. 2012. No, the citation is not correct yet! Notice – this is a newspaper article
6
If you cannot get the database to give you the citation information, then you will have to find it all yourself.
7
Easybib.com
8
Click on Manual Entry
9
Pick the “Source Type” –what kind of publication do you need for your first source?
10
Click the Online Database tab
11
My article was a newspaper article in the online databases
12
Type in all the information you can
13
Yes! One citation is finished. But do not try to save it yet because you don’t have an account
14
Start Over – enter your next article
15
Here is my next one: Sheffield, Rob. "Capitol Punishment." Rolling Stone 1157 (2012): 38. Academic Search Premier. Web. 31 Oct. 2012. This one is from a magazine in the online databases
16
My Source Type is “online magazine” from the databases
17
I gotta pick the “Online database” tab again
18
Now I have two sources done!
19
Let’s Pretend I actually have five! Next, click “All” where it says “Select.” Then, click “Print as Word Doc” You will get a pop-up window that offers you a chance to open/save the Word Doc you have created
20
Enable Editing and then Save this in your files. You will copy and paste this page into your final research paper later, so it will be numbered properly as your last page.
21
Remember YOU are required to have 5 sources NOT just two!
