10 I was not 'observed in practice' as there was nothing for me to do. I did enjoy the placement it was very interesting and all the staff were lovely and I felt as if i was valued, rather than a spare part. My mentors themselves said that research nursing "isn't nursing" and all agreed that there was little I could learn from working with them. great learning experience about research I did not know before It was different and gave me a lot of knowledge about research Research is interesting but is such a lengthy and slow process that cannot be shown in short blocks I feel I did not learn many things I could utilise in practice just yet I could have learnt the same amount that I learnt in three weeks in a few day visits or one week.
