2. Our Experiment Our experiment was seeing how wind affected plant growth. We wanted to see if wind could stop the plant from growing towards the sun, so we had a plant that didn’t have the wind blowing against it, to see how much the plant would lean towards the sun without wind and a plant that did have a fan blowing on it to see if the wind stopped the plants from growing towards the sun. We used a fan to create wind, and a light source to help the plants grow.

3. Our prediction Our prediction was that the plants that had no wind blowing on it would lean towards the sun, but the plants that did have wind blowing against it would not be able over power the wind and grow towards the sun.

4. Week One We got our design and laid out everything. We got everything we were going to use and got our name and took our picture.

5. Week Two We picked the plants we were going to use for our experiment. Then we got them in the cups and set them up with the fan and the special light.

7. Week Four We have noticed that there is growth in most of the cups, but there is a lot less sprouting in the fanned cups and a lot more mold. None of the plants are doing well in the fanned cup. All the plants in the fanned cup are either dead or dieing from mold.

9. Week Three We noticed there was mold starting to grow on our plants. There was more mold on the plants that were under the fan, than the ones under just the light.

11. Our Conclusion The wind affected the plant growth, but not in the way we expected. We thought that the plants that had wind blowing against them would just not lean towards the sun, but we think that the wind made it so that the plants did not grow because there was very little plant growth in the cups that had wind blowing in it.
