3 Karl Blossfeldt Karl Blossfeldt (June 13, 1865 – December 9, 1932 -- age 67) was a German photographer, sculptor, teacher and artist who worked in Berlin, Germany. He is best known for his close-up photographs of plants and living things. He was inspired, as was his father, by nature and the way in which plants grow.

6 Using a Digital Single Lens Reflex camera (DSLR) 1. Check the camera is on the macro setting 2. Adjust the focus on the camera (twist) 3. Press this button to take your photograph

8 Adobe Photoshop 1.Find your saved image, right click it and ‘open with’ Adobe Photoshop 2.Click on ‘adjustments’ and select ‘convert to black and white’. Select the high contrast option. (click on the icon) 3.To further adjust the contrast, click on ‘adjustments’, select ‘adjust lighting’, select ‘Brightness/contrast’. Make sure the preview box is ticked and then move the sliders until you are happy with the image.
