Starting forte with the trumpet, trombone and saxophone, the drums are playing more mezzo forte in the background. Here we are introduced to the bass guitar and the drums increase their tempo and come more to the forefront. This is also where we hear the overall rhythm of the song. The deep timbre of the bass guitar is perfect here and adds another layer of depth to the overall tune.

The chorus begins here starting with the trumpet as the main sound followed by the trombone, saxophone and guitar. The drums become more prominent again here. Playing in simple meter. Verse 2. All instruments are playing in simple quadruple meter.

Here the music increases in not only volume but also in fullness as it builds up to the chorus. The chorus repeats. Here the drums play a little variation to the melody for 6 notes. The overall feel of the tune changes here as the drums change their tune and slow down.

The crescendo of the drums and increased tempo are building up to the end of the piece. All instruments pause for a brief moment then the guitar and drums come back in decrescendo to finish the piece. All instruments come back in and repeat the chorus. Song fades out

The timbre of the fiddle adds a nice introduction to the piece. Drum beat starts here accompanied by bass guitar and piano. Here the basic rhythm of the piece is established. Slide of keyboard followed by a slightly higher note. Absence of brass instruments.

Solo by an instrument I am not familiar with, possibly banjo. Beat and rhythm of the drums stays pretty consistent throughout the piece in duple meter providing a consistent harmony. Guitar, keyboard and drums set the tone of urgency and consistency.

Keyboard and drums begin crescendo. Timbre of the keyboard for the next couple measures with increased tempo. Keyboard has been consistent in rhythm throughout the last several measures providing a consistent form. The World is New The World is New – SAVE FERRIS See the video Hereere 0:00 -0:21 0:31-0:43 0:45 1:12 In the introduction, the form is established by the trumpet, trombone, guitar and drums. From the intro we can anticipate this piece to have a relatively fast tempo. The symbols on the drum set are used more in this piece than other SAVE FERRIS songs. Intro is repeated as we go into the second verse. The timbre of the saxophone is perfect as it moves to the front providing a new depth to the music.

The World is New – SAVE FERRIS 1:25 – 1:26 1:26 2:10-2:13 Bass guitar solo. Trumpet, Trombone and saxophone pick up right where they left off without missing a beat. The rhythm of this piece is very consistent overall. The last note played by all instruments is long and drawn out giving a sense of closure to the piece.
