2. My Family I have been married to my husband Phil for almost 4 years now. My stepson, Phillip is 13, and our first daughter, Victoria is 2 and our sweet baby, Alexandria is 6 months old.

Professional Background  I graduated from Ashford with a Bachelors in Social and Criminal Justice in November 2010.  In the past I have worked in media, both radio and television.  I am currently a stay-at-home mother planning on homeschooling my 2 daughters.  I do not have any professional experience in the education field…yet.

4. Hobbies and Interests Involving FamilyPersonal Interests  Going to the park, or the zoo, or the museum, or anywhere the kids will have fun and learn something.  Reading books to the girls.  Watching my son and his 60mph fastball on the baseball mound!  Reading “grown-up” books  Relaxing on the hammock  Going to the beach  Running (well, I’m getting there…I don’t exactly enjoy it yet…but I will)  Photography  Sports- all kinds, playing or watching

5. K-12 Background  I was always a good student in grade school and high school  I took honors classes in high school and excelled.  I feel like my experiences could have been more hands-on because there was a lot of lecturing, but I made it work!  My most influential teacher was in my English 3 Honors class during my junior year of high school. Mrs. Satzinger made reading fun. I had never been much of a reader or writer and she turned it all around. She gave the whole process of reading and writing meaning and made us want to be better students because of it. She was by far the most exciting and wonderful teacher I had ever experienced during my K-12 years (but shhh…don’t tell my mom that because she was my kindergarten teacher…hehe )

6. My Future Aspirations Dream JobI would also enjoy….  I would love to take my knowledge and educational skills learned in this program to a battered women’s and children’s shelter and creating programs to help them get their lives back.  Helping to create training sessions for companies  Becoming an online instructor myself  Or creating programs to assist victims and victims families.
