2 LEGENDARY PICTURES Entertainment Led – Used in a blockbuster to promote the company. Placed in at start of film for 15-20 seconds. Appears in all Warner Brothers blockbusters and Christopher Nolan movies. Ident will change to reflect the theme of the movie (i.e. Godzilla https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N 9V_BDJP6BY). Colours – Red, orange tones to represent fire and destruction. Sound – orchestrated build up for suspense. Aimed at 18-25 year olds. Created by CGI. Effective use of promoting destruction, but not really giving any indication to who the character is.

3 DC COMICS Entertainment Led – placed in every television series/movie to promote the brand/character. Appears in all DC live action adaptions (i.e. Arrow, Flash, Gotham, Batman movies). Will change to reflect the character. Aimed at 18 – 25 year olds. Placed in the start of film or the end of the TV show. Can be animated to reflect the character personality (Arrow, Flash - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhsh9Lefz XA). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhsh9Lefz XA Colours – Red and yellow to represent the Flash. Sound – Lightning sounds to represent the Flash. Created through CGI. Effective use to promote a TV show and comic series.

4 MARVEL Entertainment led – this ident is placed in every blockbuster to promote it’s proud comic history. Appears in all Marvel Cinematic films. Animated ident used with CGI and stop motion. Comics used to promote the company’s rich comic history. Very broad target audience (young kids – older adults). Fanfares used to build up hype, suspense, the usual cliché superhero theme. 5 INFORMATION IDENT EXAMPLE Used to inform the audience of an event or programme that is to take place in the future. Can take in the form a brief second ident that can contain a voiceover, footage, or text to inform the viewer. Informative in the sense of it is advertising facts, figures and statistics.
