3 What is GOLD? ● GOLD targets members who have recently entered the workforce ● Programs are geared to highlight needs typical to this affinity group ● Assist young members in their transition between academic and professional life ● Increase retention of recent graduates and their participation in IEEE

4 IEEE GOLD Committee Responsibilities Offer and promote programs of interest to recent graduates Assist the development of volunteer leaders among GOLD members Promote their representation in appropriate IEEE organizational units

5 GOLD Committee Structure Chair, Iván Jileta Past Chair, Anoop Alazhathu Up to 3 members appointed by Technical Activities Up to 3 members appointed by Regional Activities Regions 1-10 GOLD Coordinators

6 Show Me The Money Up to $400 available for initiating a GOLD program $200 Unmatched $200 Matched Form available online: www.ieee.org/organization/rab/gold/qsif.html www.ieee.org/organization/rab/gold/qsif.html The parent entity gets $180 rebate for each affinity group that holds 2 or more meetings
