6. Math at Dartmouth Common Core 6+ is a high level, challenging, and rigorous course for all 6th graders. The focus of common core is on critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. There is a balance between mathematical procedures and understanding. Students will be asked to apply what they know to solve real life problems. The ultimate goal of common core is to prepare students for college and career readiness.

Students who need extra support will have their needs met in either, a zero period course or math intervention.
