Thus, the work should be ENTIRELY free of spelling, mechanical, and grammar errors.  The essay should seamlessly reveals author’s purpose and main idea and analyzes the author’s uses of literary devices such as imagery, figures of speech, paradox, and symbolism as support.  Commentary should reveal insight of the texts’ relevance to the formation of American identity and culture.  Academic vocabulary is integrated in writing to reveal sophistication and academic style.
