introduction of mobile communication Mobile Communication: A communication network (either public or private) which doesn't depend on any physical connection between two communication entities and have flexibility to be mobile during communication. The current GSM and CDMA technologies offers Mobile Communication.

what is 3 G  3G is the third generation of mobile Communications systems.  3G is basically an ITU defined set of standards, which along with other specs. provides for minimum Data speed of 384 Kbps  It enhances the service such as  Multimedia,  High speed mobile broadband,  Internet access  Ability to view video footage on your mobile handset.

working of 3 G The working of 3 G mobile phone is similar to 2 G mobile phone. the mobile device must be within an area of coverage, as with making and receiving calls. The device works by transmitting and receiving radio waves to the network operator base stations. by the use of this radio waves we are transfer our data to one mobile to another mobiles.

what it can do ¤ With a 3G phone and access to the 3G network you can ¤ Make video calls, ¤ Watch live TV, ¤ Access the high speed internet ¤ Receive emails ¤ Download music tracks ¤ Live streaming, ¤ Downloadable Video of entertainment,News, current affairs and sport content and ¤ Video messaging. ¤ Usual voice call and messaging service found on a mobile phone,

3 G coverage national scenario € BSNL has planned to cover 751 cities for 3G in phase V.1. € BSNL plans to cover all the DHQs and other commercial important towns in phase V.1 order. € The 3G network is designed based. The network is up-gradable to HSDPA and HSUPA.

conclusion  The mobile boom has led to the development of the current second generation mobile service. The continued global mobile boom and the desire for broadband communications 'anywhere, anytime' has provided the motivation for the development of third generation mobile communications systems.  As we approach the new millennium 3G systems offer a way to provide not only global communications, but also global broadband services such as multimedia applications and high-speed Internet access.

conclusion (cont.)  Mobile satellite systems will be deployed in geostationary orbits or Low and Medium Earth Orbits. These systems are likely to have smaller handsets and also enable fast interactive services due to their closer proximity to the Earth.  The success of third generation mobile systems will depend upon market forces. Third generation systems will not only have to deliver the promised services but also at a price attractive to the consumer.
