According to Weather Facts, “snow forms when water vapor in the in the atmosphere that freezes into ice crystals” (Smith, 2). This means for the ice crystals to stay as snowflakes the surface temperature must be around 32 degrees Fahrenheit or under for these ice crystals to remain in their snowflake form. Therefore, it is always colder when it snows.
