I am going to the zoo this weekend ·interrogative: an interrogative sentence is a sentence that ends in a ? and asks a question mark. Do you like the zoo? ·imperative: an imperative sentence is a sentences that gives a command and ends in a. Go to the zoo with me. · exclamatory: an exclamatory sentence excitement or strong feeling. Wow! There are so many things to see at the zoo!

2 Complete Subjects and Predicates ·All the words that are in the subject are the complete subject. ·All the words in the predicate are the complete predicate. A compound sentence that expresses two ideas using the three coordinating conjunctions: and, or, and but. Ex. I ran and my dog ran. A complex sentence is a sentence that expresses one idea using before, while, until, when, after, because, unless, if, or as, often using a comma. Ex: After I ran, my dog ran.

13 To tell if the sentence is fragment you have to look for the subject and predicate. To tell if the sentence is a run-on you have to look for how many conjunctions, subjects, and predicates it has.
