2 Movie Summary A 90 minute documentary about street art. Focuses on the life of Frenchman Thierry Guetta. His story from Thierry to Mr. Brainwash.

3 Plot Thierry is obsessed with filming everything around him. He is always holding his video camera everywhere he goes. The documentary begins with him filming his cousin Andre, who was placing space invader mosaics around the city. Triggered interest in street artists and set out on a mission to film these artists

4 Plot Why? He enjoyed found the works of these street artists nice & wanted to capture them in the making. Enjoyed the feeling of danger of getting caught. Wanted to create a street art documentary.

5 Plot Throughout the film he follows & documents famous street artists such as: Invader Banksy Shepard Fairey -Banksy encourages him to finish his documentary on street art. But later state that “it is a nightmare to watch”, as if someone was constantly switching the channel.

6 Plot After realizing that Thierry was terrible at filming, Banksy encourages him to try street art for himself. He quit his job & sold everything to become a full-time artist. Risking everything for his major exhibition. Over 4000 people came. He became a famous street artist in L.A, selling over 1 million $ worth of art.

7 Banksy Famous mysterious English graffiti artist. Unknown identity. Combines dark humour with graffiti Social and political messages. Works seen throughout the world.

Mr Brainwash was able to learn street art from Banksy and other street artists Mainly learned by being actively implicated in the artistic processes of the various street artists Throughout the film, Mr. Brainwash adopts new techniques, styles, and the “artist lifestyle/behaviour” Mr Brainwash had a very successful art exhibition at the end of the film, selling his artworks for substantial amounts of money.
