3 Lateral Muscles Brachioradialis (Flexes elbow) Extensor carpi radialis longus (extends wrist; aids in radial flexion of wrist) O: lateral supracondylar ridge of humerus I: metacarpal II N: Radial nerve Extensor carpi radialis brevis (extends wrist; aids in radial flexion of wrist) O: Lateral epicondyle of humerus I: metacarpal III N: Posterior interosseous nerve

4 Posterior Muscles Originate at Lateral epicondyle of humerus Anconeus (Extends elbow) I: Olecranon & posterior surface of ulna N: radial nerve Extensor digitorum I: Dorsal surfaces of phalanges 2-5 N: posterior interosseous nerve Extensor digiti minimi I: proximal phalanx 5 N: Posterior interosseous nerve Extensor carpi ulnaris I: base of metacarpal 5

4 Watch Out Do not sever: Posterior antebrachial cutaneous nerve
