4  40% of the world’s population dispose of their waste unsafely, in public places  Girls drop out of school  Sewage levels have quadrupled since 1970. (Water woes, n.d.) (Kuepper, 2009)

5  Deaths can be reduced by 65%  Teach the people personal hygiene habits (WaterAid, 2012)

6  Unsafe water and poor sanitation cause disease  The weakest members of a community are most vulnerable (WaterAid, 2012)
