3. Lutaoyang Jiang’s Historic Residence of Lutian Village of Nanxi District  Jiang’s descendants still maintained a traditional family structure of an agricultural society. The Historic Residence is filled with historical meaning, and can be called a living village museum. The entire old residence group includes 10 varieties of architectural styles, such as adobe, brick walls, metal huts, concrete walls, bamboo walls, and over 130 houses. Some were renovated or reconstructed, but mostly are houses over 20 years old. Some even have a history of over a century.

4. The most distinguished feature is the collective-settlement of over 10 generations together, maintaining the historic culture of “songjiangzhen.” The whole settlement is managed by the company, which prohibits the construction of tall buildings. The gods-shrine to worship gods Common Room

The old residence of 3.5 hectares kept the adobe, bamboohouses, red-brick buildings, and wet-screening houses fromthe Japanese period, along with granolithic buildings with 200years of history, serving as a marquee showing the changesin the agricultural architecture of Taiwan over the past threecenturies.

6. The new-moon-shaped lotus pond in front of the residence still maintained its old form from two centuries back. It was a necessary water reservoir for farmers.
