2 1. I can identify the ideas and contributions of Confucius. Confucius goal was to bring order and peace to society. If people behaved according to their duties and responsibilities peace would result. Confucianism was a guide for how civil service members should behave. Loyalty and respect (especially toward family) is central to his teaching.

3 2. I can identify the importance of the Silk Road. A trade route that connected India and China to the West. Opened China to missionaries which brought Buddhism and other religions to various parts of the world.

The people were scared to not meet the amount of food they were told to produce so they lied. They ended up not producing food to survive. It resulted by creating massive starvation and depleted their resources.
